BYF was created from the heart of teachers wishing to help struggling readers. We have seen countless students struggle with their reading fluency and comprehension as a result of missed skills from covid and frankly poor instruction. We are able to diagnose where the deficit lies, quickly refer you to our membership site with a plan for you and your child to work at home daily when it is convenient for you. We are available to reevaluate if you choose. Our program helps you help your child. If you prefer intensive instruction twice a week, we have group classes for that too! How it Works
Schedule an appointment for a reading assessment for your child with a reading expert trained in the Science of Reading. Within 3 days you will receive a detailed report explaining what your child is specifically struggling with in their reading process. Then you can enroll your child in the membership group and use our step by step analysis to help your child. Or you can enroll in the 2XWK Intensive. Or you can be satisfied knowing the problem and help your child on your own.
2XWK Intensive Instruction
After receiving the assessment details from your scheduled appointment, you have the opportunity to enroll your child in this intensive reading course. BYF offers an online group course setting on Mondays and Wednesday or Tuesdays and Thursdays. After receiving your request, we will call and schedule a time. These 55 minute classes include targeted skills in phonemic awareness, fluency, vocabulary, comprehension and writing. Those enrolled receive the membership section at no extra cost. Classes are four week sessions.
Membership
Our membership program is curated for every different age group. Every lesson offers the appropriate level of engagement for your child. Use the membership section to locate reading help to help your child. There are how to pages and videos available to help you along with a step by step guide to help. You do not have to schedule an appointment to become a member. Anyone can try it for 30 days and discover a wealth of information to help your child read better.

From providing personalized support to fostering a growth mindset, our program enables students to approach learning with greater enthusiasm and capability. This opportunity is for parents who prefer to have a professional reading teacher help their child. All classes are held in the comfort of your home.
Guided activities and materials you can work on together
Many of our videos within the membership area show you how to help your child with reading. The membership opportunity starts with preschool and extends through accomplished readers. Test taking skills are also included. The membership site includes a rich assortment of information and how to videos for every level of reading instruction. Note that the membership section is not somewhere you send your child to learn how to read. Rather, it is a place for you to help your child become a better reader using the correct materials.
